Do you like to use the TS Timer (It's that little red clock that sits in your system tray)? If you are a fan, you may have noticed that when you upgraded your operating system or purchased a new computer with Windows 7, the TS Timer no longer appears.
Where did it go? It's still out there and is still loaded at start up. It just doesn't appear in the system tray. The way around this is to go to START, Programs. Select Timeslips and then right click on the TS Timer and create a shortcut. Drag this shortcut to your desktop. Double-clicking on the desktop icon will place the red clock back on the system tray.
If you never use the TS Timer, you probably didn't notice anything was missing, however, this can still present a problem when you are trying to get everyone out of Timeslips. Normally, we tell everyone to right click on the red clock and exit. This isn't possible on the Windows 7 workstations. You will need to go into the Task Manager (CTRL ALT DEL) and take a look at the Processes tab. Once you locate the TSTimer.exe on the process tab, just select it and click on "End Processes". You could also have your IT person go to the MSConfig set up and remove the TSTimer.EXE from the start up.
